What I have been looking for in putting together this list of resources is not Monday-morning quarterbacking, recriminations, attacks, and cynicism, but informed, practical, positive strategies and guidelines for building and maintaining an opposition in the short and the long term.
One question: Why did you say “Christian value” in this item: “Christian value of caring for the poor and marginalized”? Is it because the dominant culture in this country is Christian and this is a reminder to Christians abt the value?
Yes, because Christianity has been a dominant influence and it's important to tap into the wholesome (genuine) aspects of this tradition and take energy away from the toxic, imperialistic aspects. Also, because I was raised Christian and still receive sustenance from that. Other traditions, religious and secular, may share this value and can add their strength.
For the coming work of becoming the opposition, here are some resources I've been looking at:
--Timothy Snyder, On Tyranny: 20 Lessons from the 20th Century
--Marc Elias, Building the Opposition, democracydocket.com

Thanks for these resources. We all need to make the most of a few such lists.
Another friend has compiled a bunch on a web page: http://www.couleeprogressives.org/p/the-shitshow-cometh.html
Thanks for this, Santi. Couple things that I've been thinking about :
1. The shunning discussion that you wrote about and we discussed earlier. Perhaps that could be expanded on.
2. Metta practice. This has been helpful for me since the 2016 election.
These 2 aren't adding to your list but might be discussed as practices.
1. Is seems I never posted the bits on "alternatives to shunning." Maybe I'll get to that after Yearly Transition Retreat.
2. Seems to me that metta (kindness, goodwill) overlaps a lot with neighborliness, which plays out on thought, speech, and actions.
Love the clarity here. Very helpful framework.
